WorkAbility I (WAI)
WorkAbility I is designed for high school students in special education who are making the transition from school to work, independent living, or post secondary education or training. WAI provides:
  • Comprehensive pre-employment training
  • Employment placement
  • Follow-up consultations
More information about the WorkAbility I program is provided by the Special Education Division of the California Department of Education, who funds and administers the program. There are 305 program sites statewide serving each county in California.

WorkAbility II (WAII)
WorkAbility II (WAII) assists adults with disabilities with job preparation and work improvement skills through classes offered in conjunction with the State of California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). The program emphasizes:
  • Interviewing
  • Resume preparation
  • Job search skills
  • Employment retention
  • GED and high school diploma requirements are provided, as needed
Classes are taught through the Palo Alto Adult School.
