Facility Rental

Palo Alto Unified School District believes that school facilities and grounds are a vital community resource which should be used to foster community involvement and development. Therefore, the Board authorizes the use of school facilities by district residents and community groups for purposes specified in the Civic Center Act, to the extent that such use does not interfere with school activities or other school-related uses.

Requests for use of a facility for any organized activity or by groups including non-profit organizations, clubs, associations, or businesses are required to obtain a facility use permit prior to use of school district facilities, fields, tennis courts, or other outdoor athletic facilities.

Step 1: Submit a request for the specific school site, dates, and times. Applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the first date of use listed on the application.

Step 2: The school site will review the request for availability.

Step 3: After the school reviews & approves the dates and times, the district reviews the request and verifies that the proof of insurance coverage meets requirements.

Step 4: After the use permit is issued, the approved use permit and the invoice will be available on the PAUSD Civic Permits site
