District and Teachers Association Announce Tentative Agreement

The District and the Palo Alto Educators Association (PAEA) have reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) on compensation and benefits for 2023-24 and 2024-25. Below is a summary of the two-year agreement.

2023-2024:

• 4% on-schedule salary schedule increase, effective July 1, 2023
• 4% increase to Appendix H (Hourly, Adult Education and Stipends)
• 1% off-schedule payment 

2024-2025:

• 4% on-schedule salary schedule increase, effective July 1, 2024
• 4% increase to Appendix H (Hourly, Adult Education and Stipends)
• Restructure of the salary schedule which increases the starting salary and eliminates 3 steps (from 30 to 27 total)

• Evaluations
• Memorandum of Understanding: Covering Classes
