From the Office of the Superintendent:
Dear PAUSD Students, Staff, and Families,
REOPENING FEEDBACK OPPORTUNITY WEEK OF MAY 18
The PAUSD webinar series, "Backstage with the Superintendent" will be hosted by thoughtexchange on Monday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m. to gather your thoughts about reopening schools in the future. The live version will allow viewers to see the data flow in real time. The webinar will be immediately posted to YouTube at the same address and thoughtexchange data collection will continue through May 22. The webinar can be accessed at https://go.pausd.org/backstage-webinar. If successful, PAUSD has plans to use thoughtexchange for several closure / reopening dialogues in the near future.
CLASSIFIED APPRECIATION WEEK
Our classified teammates are appreciated! Classified positions in PAUSD include familiar faces such as our site office staffs, bus drivers, instructional assistants, food service workers, special education student attendants, and technology workers. They also include people who are less known by the average person, yet essential to our work, including mechanics, plumbers, carpenters, grounds crews, and positions charged with employment and payroll responsibilities. Together, our classified employees form the backbone to our team.
Classified Appreciation Week officially begins this weekend. Like so many others during the closures, our classified team is missing our students and personal interactions. They are doing the best they can to contribute from home and on the front line such as our food service workers. We wish we were here to celebrate together. If you have the opportunity, our classified staff would certainly appreciate a quick message of thanks over the closure.
