Title IX Information

From the Office of the Superintendent:

The District is aware of reports and concerns related to sexual violence involving current and former students that have been posted on social media. While the social media posts are recent, we understand the incidents referenced in these posts relate to the 2019/2020 school year.

We want to assure our students, parents, and the community that Palo Alto Unified School District takes seriously all reports of discriminatory harassment, including sexual harassment and sexual violence. The District thoroughly investigates each complaint it receives. Some of the matters in the social media posts were previously reported to the District and investigated. The District will begin investigating new complaints immediately. As always, we encourage students and families to file a report or complaint using the following link:

We are aware of public statements that the District received 50 reports of sexual assault in 2020. In fact, in the 2019/2020 school year, the District received over 50 reports of sexual harassment in which 5 were reports of sexual assault or misconduct. These complaints were promptly investigated. The District investigates incidents taking place on and off-campus in order to ensure our students are safe. A link to the UCP log for the current and previous years can be found here:
