Elementary School
Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten - Information for New Families
All families are welcome to join. 2021 meetings will take place via Zoom.
Below meetings are exactly the same, so parents need not attend both although they certainly may do so if desired.

Choice School/Program Information Meetings

- Parent may apply to only one Choice Program for each child. To receive an application, parent must attend a Parent Information Meeting for that Choice Program. Parents may attend Information Meetings for any, or all, of the four Choice Programs, but only one Choice Program application per child can be submitted.
- Parent Information Meetings will be held via the Zoom; check the school website for login instructions (meetings are exactly the same so parents need not attend both, but may do so if desired)
- Hoover Information Meetings: 6:00pm - 7:00pm, January 14 or January 20, 2021
- Ohlone and Mandarin Immersion (at Ohlone) Information Meetings: 6:30pm - 7:30pm, January 25 or February 11, 2021
- Spanish Immersion (at Escondido) Information Meeting: 6:30pm - 7:30pm, January 26, 2021. Please fill out the Meeting Request Form beforehand.
- Applications must be submitted to the Choice Program school's main office no later than Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 12:00 p.m. (noon).
- Lottery held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 (Public welcome to observe via: https://pausd.zoom.us/j/98277430871).
- Parent must provide the response to an offer of enrollment in the Choice Program, by notifying the Choice Program school's main office no later than Tuesday, March 2, 2021, 12:00 p.m. (noon).

Middle School
Choice Programs Information Meetings

- Early February 2021: Applications mailed to current 5th grade student homes, and available to download at the Choice Program web site here (see section "Middle School Choice Programs - Application Process").
- Parent may apply to only one Choice Program for each child. Applications due: February 24, 2021, 4:00 p.m at the Registration Services office, 25 Churchill Ave. (Can be emailed to RegistrationServices@pausd.org)

- Connections Program (at JL Stanford Middle School): February 8, 2021, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. (check JLS website for Zoom login info)
- Mandarin Bridge and Spanish Bridge Programs (at Greene Middle School): February 9, 2021, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. (check Greene website for Zoom login info)

High School
Information Nights for Parents of Rising 9th Graders (or other grades new to PAUSD):
January 27 2021, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at each high school (check websites for Gunn High, and Palo Alto High, for Zoom details). All current and future PAUSD parents and students, who will be in the 9th grade in the 2021-22 school year, or are new to PAUSD from grades 10 - 12, are welcome to attend this event.
Course Selection for Current PAUSD 8th Grade Students
High School Counselors distribute Course Catalogs to current 8th grade students during the month of February. For details and dates, please contact the main office of your neighborhood middle school.
Course Selection Information Night for All Parents, and for Newly Registered Parents/Students
Current 8th graders, and their parents, can attend the High School Course Selection Workshops: February 10, 2021, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at each high school (check websites for location details)
All newly registered families will be given course-selection instructions after registration and enrollment (starting in April prior to the school year).
