For school-based support, students and families can schedule time to connect with school staff including school counselors, psychologists, and therapists from 8:30-3:30 on scheduled school days. Our mental health staff is checking in with students and families who have been receiving ongoing school-based support. PAUSD social workers will be checking in with families in McKinney Vento and Foster Care Programs providing continued support remotely during school closures.

If you are not already connected to support at your school, our Student and Family Engagement Specialists (SaFE) are a great first point of contact district-wide. Depending on your need(s) they can help connect you to community or district resources. At the elementary level you can also reach out to your school psychologist or principal. For middle school students and families, your grade level school counselor is also available to support your student’s wellbeing. High school students and families can connect with their school counselors, advisor/mentor or through the Wellness Center Staff. Starting next week students will be able to sign up for remote “drop in” support through the Wellness Center.  

Managing things for ourselves and our loved ones can be challenging during “normal” times.  During this unprecedented disruption to life, families, students and staff members are all trying to find their footing. Our PAUSD community is responding by connecting and working together to support each other especially our vulnerable students and families.  The PAUSD Office of Equity and Student Affairs is collecting and curating the wealth of resources available within our community. The PAUSD Resource website will be updated as new resources become available.            

Families, students or staff seeking mental health services can use Care Solace to find a community provider matched to their needs. Care Solace is a free resource that walks you through ten basic questions to match you to an extensive list of local mental health providers. Care Solace takes into account all types of insurance, including, Medi-Cal, Medicaid, and Medicare and those that have no insurance.
