Elementary student cooking during Future Chefs Competition

On March 6, 2019, representatives from ten Palo Alto Unified School District elementary schools participated in the 7th Annual Chefs Challenge.  Alva Spence, Nutrition Service Coordinator, coordinated the event, complete with on-site food preparation for students ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Students were scored in areas including taste, ease of preparation, healthy content, plate presentation, and creativity.  Families attended the event to cheer on their students and sample food from all participants.
