Classified School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter 301 and Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD) met for negotiations on December 11, 2019. The following articles were discussed:
- Article VI Salary and Benefits – benefits language
- Article XI Leave Provisions
The parties also discuss the California School Employee Summer Assistance Program (CSESAP.) The CSESAP provides up to a dollar for dollar match on amounts withheld from a participating local educational agency's (LEA's) classified school employees' monthly paychecks during the 2020-21 school year. The classified employees' pay withheld and the state match funds will be paid by LEAs to the LEA's eligible employees in the summer months following the 2020-21 school year. The amount of the state funds set aside is $36,000,000 for this round of the program. Subsequent to December 11, 2019, representative parties from CSEA and PAUSD met again to determine a manner in which this program might be offered to eligible District employees. The parties are pleased to have reached a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which is attached here.
CSEA and PAUSD will meet again in 2020 to continue negotiations related to Article VI Salary and Benefits - benefits language and Article XI Leave Provisions.
