PALO ALTO, CA – The Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD) Board of Education has begun the process for selecting a new district superintendent.  Community input about the desired characteristics to be used in recruiting and selecting this person is desired.  The Board is soliciting input to develop a leadership profile and selection criteria that match the priorities of our community and that meet the unique needs of Palo Alto Unified School District.

Consultants Carolyn McKennan, Jacki Horejs, and David Cash of Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates, were selected to advise the Board in this search.  They will be in Palo Alto on January 12 and 17 – 19.

Input from members of the community (parents, employees, and others interested in our district) is valuable to the process.  We will be holding two Open Forum meetings to gather input.

You may attend and participate in an Open Forum (no appointment is necessary) where you may express your thoughts and where the process will be explained.  These (two) Open Forums will be held on January 17 and January 18 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the locations listed below.
