The Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD), Palo Alto Educators Association (PAEA) and California School Employees Association (CSEA) are pleased to announce Tentative Agreements on the Compensation and Benefits Articles of their Collective Bargaining Agreements for the 2019-2020 school year.

Tentative Agreements for both PAEA and CSEA include the following:

  • Ongoing salary increase of one percent (1%) over the 2018-19 Employees' Salary Schedule effective July 1, 2019, and
  • One-time salary increase of one and a half percent (1.5%) for the 2019-20 school year only, and
  • Increase District contribution to health care benefits from $13,570 to $14,099 per year for full time regular employees (employee costs will increase as well), and
  • Contingency language that provides for additional ongoing salary increases if the District's final annual property tax revenues exceed current growth projections.

Tentative Agreements on the Compensation and Benefits articles will be brought to the PAUSD Board of Education on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
