Collective Bargaining
Collective bargaining is the process in which working people, through their unions, negotiate to reach a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), which outlines the terms of employment, such as wages, benefits, working conditions, and grievance procedures with their employer.
Two employee unions represent the staff of Palo Alto Unified School District. The Palo Alto Educators Association (PAEA) represents certificated staff, while California School Employees Association Chapter 301 (CSEA) represents classified staff members.
