Student Devices

• Grades TK-1:  Students are provided access at school to either an iPad or Chromebook.
   
• Grades 2-5: Students are provided access at school to Chromebooks, typically the devices stay at school.  If a Chromebook is needed to complete homework or support learning at home, contact your child’s teacher or school site.
   
• Grades 6-8:  Students are provided a take home Chromebook at the beginning of 6th grade and return it upon completion of 8th grade.  Students are expected to bring the device to and from school on a daily basis fully charged.  
   
• Grades 9-12:  Students are provided a take home Chromebook at the beginning of 9th grade and return it upon completion of 9th grade.  Students are expected to bring the device to and from school on a daily basis fully charged.  Students are permitted to bring their own device at the discretion of the school site and teachers.  Students may be required to bring their district Chromebook to school for certain classes, assessments, etc. 

Devices provided for use by students remain the property of the district. Students are responsible for returning borrowed materials in good condition, with no more wear and tear than usually results from normal use. 

• Lost and Damaged Technology:  When materials are lost or so damaged that they are no longer usable, the student shall be immediately issued a replacement device. However, students or parents/guardians shall be responsible for reparation equal to the current replacement cost of the materials.
