Zoom logo

Zoom will be used as PAUSD's official video conferencing and live streaming video service. Just like many tools that are new to us, learning to use Zoom requires some practice and guidelines for using it effectively. The guidelines linked below are intended to create the best experience while using Zoom. Please review the guidelines carefully to make sure you are a positive and polite online participant.

Appropriate school behavior still applies during Zoom meetings, including being respectful, wearing appropriate clothing, and monitoring "airtime" when in large groups. Inappropriate behavior is not tolerated on campus, nor will it be tolerated virtually.

Keep an open line of communication with your teachers about online learning. If you have suggestions for ways to improve Zoom meetings or online learning experiences, please send a private message to your teacher through email or Schoology. Teachers appreciate knowing how to best support students.

Privacy & Security

Zoom partners with schools to provide video communications to support traditional, virtual, and hybrid classrooms, distance learning, educational office hours, guest lectures, and more. As part of the services we provide to K-12 schools, Zoom may be used by students, including students under the age of 16. We are particularly committed to protecting the privacy of K-12 users, and Zoom's K-12 Schools & Districts Privacy Policy is designed to reflect our compliance with the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA"), and other applicable law.
