If you would like to work and you are not yet 18 years of age, you will need a work permit. 

How to Get a Work Permit During the Summer : 

Beginning May 25, 2018

  1. Download/pick up and Complete Work Permit Application Form
  2. Drop off your completed work permit at the Work Experience office at Adult Education Office, Palo Alto High School Tower Bldg., 1st floor. Office hours Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  3. After submitting the completed form it will be processed. Allow two days for permit processing.
  4. STUDENTS MUST PICK UP WORK PERMITS IN PERSON AND SIGN IT AFTER IT'S PROCESSED.  Students are responsible for giving the work permit to the employer.  The office will no longer be mailing work permits to the employer. 

***STUDENTS CANNOT WORK UNTIL THEY RECEIVE A PROCESSED WORK PERMIT***

Please Do Not take the permits to the District Office. If you have questions contact Adult School at (650) 329-3752.

  3. After submitting the completed form it will be processed. Allow three days for permit processing.
  4. Official Work Permit will be mailed to employer.
