Expanded Learning Opportunities
Palo Alto Unified School District is pleased to announce expanded learning opportunities (ELOP) to all eligible TK - 5th grade students starting in the 2022 – 2023 school year.
Currently, the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program in PAUSD is provided through a partnership with Right at School, Palo Alto Community Child Care and Kids Choice in grades K-5 and YMCA in grade 6. Academic support, enrichment, and connections for students beyond the regular school day are the primary goals of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs in PAUSD. “Expanded learning” means learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. Expanded Learning Opportunities Program will be offered at all PAUSD elementary and middle schools.
The program runs 5 days a week from dismissal to 6:00pm and can meet both the childcare and enrichment program needs for PAUSD families.
